One of the best fields assembled in Taranaki for a long time will contest the weight-for-age Ernie Poole Memorial Stakes, the second leg of the T.A.B. double at the Opunake Racing Club’s meeting at Hawera tomorrow.

Quondo is selected to win. but he will need to race in keeping with his best performances. Quondo has a fine record, hut has raced iittle in recent weeks. He is not the soundest of horses, and his connections restrict his racing when the tracks are hard.
