School milk question
(N.Z. Press Association; WELLINGTON, March 6. The Government is awaiting a Health Department report before making any moves on resumption of free milk supplies to schools. Replying to Mr G. F. Gair (Nat, North Shore) ne Minister of Health (Mr Tizard) said today that Labour Party policy referred to reintroducing milk only where the need was recognised by the Health Department. Studies already made showed no general problem of malnutrition in New Zealand children, he said.
