Sedgman. who is the top seed, beat V. Seixas (United States), 6-1, 6-3. At 45 Sedgman has just reached the minimum age in this event for past tennis stars. Seixas is aged 50. Also making his way to the finals was the second seed. T. Ulrich, aged 45. of Denmark, who survived a two-hour struggle to defeat F. Segura (United States), 52. 4-6. 6-1. 7-6. In double competition, Sedgman and Segura teamed to beat G. Mulloy, aged 60. and F. Parker, aged 57, both Americans.
