Battalion reunion
The ninth reunion of the 28th Maori Battalion will be held at Waihi, on the south- 1 em shore of Lake Taupo, beginning on Friday, March I,] with a formal welcome at the Waihi marae. About 2000 former servicemen and others, including members of the Government and church, and former commanding officers, are expected to attend. Accommodation has been arranged. The national conference will begin at 10 a.m. on the Saturdav in the Turangi Motor Hotel; on Sundav there will be a church narade outside the Turangi R.S.A. ha'l. The reunion banouet will be held on the Waihi marae [after the church parade.
