Thefts of gold

Nine Russians have been sentenced to prison terms of up to 15 years after an 18day trial which brought to light a system of regular gold thefts from State mines. The trade union newspaper, “Trud,” says that a gang of four gold thieves, who operated in the Magadan goldextracting works in the Soviet Far East, have been given terms ranging from nine to 15 years.
