Norway has delivered what is considered to be a mild verbal protest to Israel against the killing of a Moroccan waiter in Norway by alleged Israeli agents last July. Five Jews were sentenced to prison terms of from one year to five years and a half last Friday, after being found guilty of complicity in the killing of Mr Ahmed Bouchiki, aged 30, who died in a hail of bullets when he returned home with his wife from a cinema at the ski resort of Lillehammer. The Foreign Minister (Mr Knut Fryoenlund) summoned the Israeli Ambassador Mr Itzhak Keenan) to the Foreign Ministry in Oslo yesterday. “He emphasised that the Norwegian Government, can neither permit nor tolerate Norwegian territory being used for actions of this nature. regardless of motives or grounds,” a statement says.
