KAIKOURA BURGLARY
About $lOOO worth of men’s and boys’ wear was stolen from the West End Drapers, Ltd, Kaikoura, when the premises were burgled between 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday and 6 a.m. yesterday. [Nothing was taken from the women’s and girls’ wear. ! Entry was gained by smashing in the front door, ; which was wired to a battery operated burglar alarm. ]The alarm was either not heard or failed to function. Kaikoura police are investigating.
