Pioneers’ outing

[ (.V.Z.P..4 .-Reuter—Copyright) SYDNEY, Feb. 7. Descendants of some of Australia’s pioneer settlers will leave Sydney tomorrow for a seven-day stay on Norfolk Island during the Queen’s visit. About 30 members of the Women’s Pioneer Society of lAustralasia, the Fellowship [of First Fleeters, and the St ;George Historical Society of [Sydney will make the trip to [Norfolk Island. Members of the Women’s Pioneer Society are wives or daughters of descendants of families who arrived in Australia before 1839. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will leave Auckland tomorrow on a further leg of their Pacific tour which will take them to Norfolk Island and later on to Australia. They will arrive on Norfolk Island on Monday in the [Royal yacht Britannia, and Take part in official functions •including an open air com[munity picnic and an open lair concert.
