Motor-cyclist badly hurt

A 19-year-old motorcyclist was admitted to the resuscitation ward of Christchurch Hospital last night with extensive injuries he received when the motorcycle he was riding and a car collided at the corner of Rossall Street and Office Road. The youth, Philip Alexander Bryce, of 46 Ranfurly Street, was reported to be in a serious condition. The accident happened about 11 p.m. and Mr Bryce was thrown high in the air on impact and landed on his head several yards from the motor-cycle. The car was spun from its line of travel in the collision.
