Rulers up 80 p.c.
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. ; A plain, unvarnished school iruler which last term cost 5c I will cost children beginning ! school this week 9c. Headmasters discovered the 80 Iper cent rise on Tuesday. About 200,000 pupils in New Zealand must have rulers as part of their school equipment. The manager of the Auckland branch of the firm making the rulers said these were marketed from Christchurch and he could not comment on the reason for the price rise.
