RECORD ENTRY FOR GREYMOUTH BOWLS
(From Our Otcn Reporter) GREYMOUTH. The West Coast Bowling Centre has received a record entry of 100 teams for its diamond anniversary tournament, on greens in and around Greymouth this week-end. There will be section play over three days on the Greymouth (headquarters), R.S.A., Karoro, Blaketown, Cobden, Runanga and Hokitika greens.
Teams with six wins in the nine I rounds will go forward to post-' section play, which will start on Tuesday. Among the entrants are teams from Otago, North Otago, South Canterbury, Canterbury. Buller, Nelson. Wairarapa arid Manawatu. As expected West Coast , has the most entrants but there . is also a large Canterbury contingent. , The various centres are repre- . sented as follows:—
West Coast (39 teams).—R.S.A. 8 teams; Blaketown, Karoro 6; Hokitika 5; Dunollie, Greymouth 4; Cobden 3; Blackball, Dobson, Runanga.
