M. D. Mein injured

The Riccarton apprentice, M D. Mein, suffered concussion and was admitted to hospital for observation after a race fall at Riccarton yesterday. Mein’s mount. Bev Leigh, fell heavily when she apparently clipped the heels of another runner about 650 metres from home in the Gordon’s Gin Handicap. An inquiry into the incident will be held next Saturday.
