'A,Z. Press Association) WAITANGI. Feb. 6. ■ the Prime Minister (Mr! Kirk) revealed a well-kept; secret this afternoon at the I ceremonial handing over of! the Red Ensign to the Wai-| tangi Marae. “Next week, my wife will! be naming the first ship for! the New .Zealand Shipping. Corporation. “The name has been a, closely kept secret,” he said. 1 , “When she names the ship,, there will be the letters—l N.Z. Waitangi.” Mr Kirk said the new corporation was'a new voyage, a new venture and a new beginning tor New Zealand. “In the past we have stood on our feet and we have built something that other nations are envious of. And we will keep on building,” he said.
