No minor associations will; be represented in the A.N.Z.i Bank Sunday knock-out; cricket competition this sea-; son. Because of the travelling that would be involved and! the petrol situation, the Can-; terbury Cricket Association' and the A.N.Z. Bank have agreed to restrict the tourna-i ment to 12 Christchurch' teams. Four teams, including last season’s champion, Riccarton, have byes for the first-round of matches this Sunday. East-’ Shirley, Old Collegians, and High School Old Boys also have byes.
The first-round draw is: St i Albans v. Marist at Hagley 1; ( Suburban v. Supporters’ Club at Burnside 1: Lancaster Park ■ v. Burnside-West University; at Hagley 3; Sydenham v. I Hagley at Sydenham 1. The second round will be; played the following Sunday,! with the semi-finals on March i 3 and the final on March 17.
