Ban slays on juniors
(N.Z,P. A.-Reul er—Copyright) SYDNEY. The New South Wales Rugby League has decided by a narrow majority to continue its ban on organised week-end football for players under the age of 11 years. Eight of the 12 clubs have moved to end the ban, which caused an uproar when it was announced last year, but the final vote was 22-19 against. Speakers in favour of the move were concerned at the • encroachment soccer could make into the ranks of the young players if the ban remained.
