Suggestion on bottles
f.X’.Z. Press Association > AUCKLAND, Feb. 4. Beer distributors should be compelled to set up collection points in dairies and supermarkets for the return of empty bottles, says the rubbish committee of the Glen Eden Borough Council. The committee has also suggested petitioning the Government to ban beer and drink cans unless a harmless, non-detachable opening device is incorporated. It also suggests raising the refund on beer bottles to the level of that on soft-drink bottles.
