Demand for review
“The Press” has been unable to keep pace with the public demand for the official pictorial review of the Xth British Commonwealth Games. All members of the distribution staff have worked extended hours to deliver orders to booksellers and other retail outlets, extra clerical staff have been engaged to handle the flow of mail orders, and 10 members of the temporary and permanent staff of “The Press” worked last night to pack and mail copies of the review ordered by subscribers to “The Press.” Despite these efforts, some mail orders have still not been attended to. “The Press” apologises to those readers who have not yet received their copies, and assures all who have placed orders so far that sufficient copies have been reserved from the first printing to fill all orders received to date.
