Cattle sale ; Sixty Limousin-Friesian iweaner heifers, born about (August or September last (year, have been sold pri- : vateiy to an Australian buyer ’for $550 each by the stud [stock department of Pyne, Gould, Guinness Ltd, on •account of Mr B. P. Harnett, of Kaikoura. The Limousin (is a French breed of cattle. The catt’le will be grazed 'in the district and mated before shipment in March of next year. At a clearing sale in Kaikoura yesterday on account lof Mr Harnett a further 36 steer calves of the same breeding were sold. The top 12 brought $B7 each. Forty-seven in-miik mature Friesian cows also averaged $l5l, 32 17-month spring calving Friesian heifers averaged $lOl, 35 HerefordFriesian steer calves brought from $7l to $92 and 13 Angus-Friesian steer calves $79.
