S.A. couple impressed
A sense of peace and security was the most impressive facet of New Zealand, :said a South African couple who attended the Common(wealth Games. Mr and Mrs N. Beinart, of Cape Town, said in a letter Ito “The Press” that they • were impressed by the friendship and kindness shown to them during their visit. Mr Beinart, a journalist, praised the work of the “backroom’’ staff of the Games Press Centre, whom, they said, were always helpful and considerate. “To Mr Scott and his team of organisers, we offer very hearty congratulations on the magnificent results of their long and hard work. It was worth our long joumev to watch these Commonwealth Games.” Mr and Mrs Beinart said that although South Africa was not now a member of the Commonwealth, they felt a oneness with everyone. They were impressed by the press coverage of the Games, and were taking newspapers home for their friends to see, they added.
