Manx team grateful
The Isle of Man team, which attended the Common-! wealth Games has expressed' its gratitude for the hospitality and friendship shown' towards its members. In a letter to “The Press,"! the team manager for the! Manx British Commonwealth Games Association (Mr C.l Clague) said that New Zea-! landers had been generous : hosts. “To Mr Ron Scott and his superb team, our sincere! congratulations on a task, magnificently done; and toi the host of well-wishers who ;
i.surrounded us. our appreciation,” the letter said. [ “We have discovered from [the mass of messages which [we shall take home to our ‘land that New Zealand has |the closest possible family [links with the Isle of Man, [and we are proud that hundreds of people with Manx ancestry are making! [their contribution to the present and future of this splendid country,” said Mr Clague. [ “Thank you Christchurch. Thank you New Zealand. ■The memory is forever.”
