Tenders are being called I for the work, which the | manager (Mr J. Saldavs) Isays should be completed ; before May. The company, a subsidiary of Deanes Industries, Ltd, manufactures working clothes and casual wear. The expansion has been made possible by the purchase of land from the Presbyterian Church. The extensions will allow the factory ! to gradually increase its staff from 48 to 100 and for; them to be accommodated in better conditions. The company has had to; ■turn down women looking; for jobs. Now says Mr Sal-1 davs, it will be advertising; for staff, including women! who want to work part-time. I
