Ferries at wharf
1 (N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, Feb. 3. I Rail ferries have been berthing at Waitohi wharf, Picton during the past few nights. One of the port’s regular! , ferry berths is shut for re-! building. Harbour board employees! ' normally tie up the ferries, ; but watersiders work ships! |at Waitohi wharf. Officials I I from both unions reached! agreement, and the work of : tying up at the wharf is I [being shared. > The ferry congestion! occurs each night except! Monday, Tuesday, and! Wednesday. The freight ferry Ara-! hanga arrives about 9.20 p.m., and occupies the work-: ing number two berth. Al passenger ferry which sails from Wellington at 10.40 p.m. arrives about 2 a.m.,1 and uses the Waitohi wharf.! After the Arahanga leaves at I 7.15 a.m. the passenger ves-| sei moves into the vacant! I berth for the moving of ve-j (hides and freight.
