j fJV.Z.P.A.-Rcuter—Copgnpht) NEW YORK I Algeria has called on the ; United Nations’ Secretary]General (Dr Kurt Waldheim) Ito summon a special session 'of the General Assembly to review economic relations [ between the developing [countries and the industralised nations. The Algerian Ambassador [(Mr Abdellatif Rahal) said yesterday that Dr Waldheim looked favourably on the proposal, made by the AlgeIrian Head of State (President Boumedienne) as presiIdent of the non-aligned (group of nations. ! Under General Assembly rules, an Assembly session (could be held within 45 days lof the dispatch by Dr Wal(dheim of a circular to all (135 United Nations’ memjbers, asking if they wished the meeting to be held. Since the move would be supported by virtually all the more than 70 nations of the non-aligned world, it would be bound to win the required backing of a simple majority of 68 members.
