Princess and husband leave

Christchurch hud a last glimpse of The Royal Family at Christchurch Airport yesterday when at 5.20 p.m. Princess Anne and her husband, Captain Mark Phillips, left on a National Airways flight for Wellington.

They were given a warm send-off by a crowd of more than 4000 people. On arrival at the terminal, direct from the Horse of the' Year Show at Rangiora, Princess Anne and Captain Phillips walked through the over-! seas concourse and sat upstairs for a few minutes before moving outside through the crowd. As the aircraft took off, the couple was farewelled by i a waving crowd on the terminal’s viewing decks.
