INDOOR RACES
Track stars to tour Two New Zealand track ■stars at the Commonwealth Games, Richard Tayler and John Walker, will run at four indoor meetings in the United States and Canada this month. The two will leave Auckland for Los Angeles on Wednesday. although Tayler said last evening that he was having trouble with his right calf, and that unless it improved he would not travel. "1 have been getting .spasms in it but am having treatment for it,” he said. “I will go to Alexandra on Monday, and might race at the : evening meeting there and see how it goes.” The four meetings in North America at which Tayler and Walker have been invited to irun are at Los Angeles on February 8. Toronto on Feb-' ruary 15, San Diego on February 17, and New York on February 22. Tayler said it would be a new experience for him, as, all the meetings would be indoors and he had not raced on an indoor track before. Two races would be over! three miles and the other' two over two miles. The trip has been arranged by a Canadian promoter. Mr K. Twigg. I
