Both sectors ease on Australian exchanges
Trading on Australian exchanges began on a lower note yesterday, and buyers made a complete retreat in Melbourne after a bomb scare disrupted the afternoon session.
' B.H.P. closed at 790 c. 24c | ' down from Wednesday’s i close. I Bank prices have already 'been affected by industrial i action. The National dropped from 350 c to 338 c .and the i Wales was down 16c to 800 c .and the Commercial Bank of 'Sydney lost some ground. ’ Amongst the retailers 'Myers was 5c lower at 180 c and Woolworths dropped 2c to 96c. On the mining boards Pani continental was down to 162 c land M.J.M. lost ground closing at 222 c. Poseidon and Western Mining eased at 690 c and 158 c. )l Woodside was 2c weaker at ' 171 c.
