A present for fiancee
One of the first people at home to hear of Tony Ford’s win for England in the weight-lifting light heavyweight class was Ford’s fiancee. They became engaged secretly the day before leaving for the Games. “I’ll be getting her out of bed in just half an hour with the news," the jubilant Ford said. “I think this is a pretty good sort of an engagement present.
