Champion trained alone
John Nicholson, the strongwilled individual who won his second Games cycling sprint gold medal last evening, trained separately from the remainder of the Australian team before travelling to New Zealand. An English magazine, “Cycling,’.’ said that Nicholson had been barred from squad training sessions after disagreement on methods between himself and Keith Reynolds, the Australian track coach.
