Aust, bowler forced to stop writing

A member of the Australian pairs bowling team, Peter Rheuben, is to stop writing articles from Christchurch for a Sydney newspaper.

He has given this undertaking to the Australian team management after publicity given on Monday to his writing activities. Didk Quax, who was ex-1 pelled from the New Zealand team and the Games village! after he had written an article for a Sunday newspaper. said in an interview that there were at least three other residents of the village who were writing regularly.

After the matter had been drawn to Mr Young’s attention, Rheuben had been told that he must either stop writing or “get out of the team.” Rheuben had decided not to continue writing, Mr ‘Young said.
