Ihe police reported that at least three persons were arrested for stealing tickets from the hands of spectators in the main lobby as the patrons held them up to ushers for admittance. On one occasion, a thief was run down by his victim In the outer lobby of the garden.
The victim, a writer from Manhattan, screamed at the thief, “Stop, or I’D kill you." as he raced through rhe lobby. The thief had stolen the ticket Just as the victim was going through the gate and was holding his ticket aloft to show the security guard. The police rescued the thief from the spectator.
