I A bedraggled David Max- . well Heron, who had eluded 1 the police for 10 days, made a brief appearance in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court 1 today. ’ Heron limped to the dock, ’ his left arm bandaged, to face : a charge of escaping from lawful custody at Takapuna 1 on January 19. Boreham -isaid further charges might I be laid. i Heron was captured at Kawakawa, in the Bay of I islands, early this morning.
