Four die in food riot
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW DELHI, January 25. A police inspector was among four persons killed in clashes yesterday as food riots continued in Gujarat state, bringing the death toll in two weeks to more than 125. Officials said the inspectoi died, and two policemen were wounded, when rioting crowds fired at a police patrol in the stats capital, Ahmedabad. A rioter was shot dead. Two persons were killed, and many wounded, when (police fired at looting mobs jin Nadiad, one of 15 towns ! in the state placed under curifew during the disturbances.
