Medical help

Sir, —On a visit to New Zealand recently both my husband and I found it necessary to seek medical help. We would like to say “thank you” for the kindness we received from doctors at Wanaka on New Year’s morning and r.t Hokitika at 5.30 p.m. on a Saturday. Knowing the problems we would have encountered (not to mention the after hours and holiday charges we would have had here in the same circumstances) we were somewhat surprised and happy at your national health scheme and its efficiency. Thank you, New Zealand.—Yours, etc., GWLADYS BIRD. January 25, 1974. KEW, VICTORIA.
