(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PHILADELPHIA. Only five of the original 16 seeds remain in the $lOO,OOO United States professional indoor tennis championships. Two more. Bjorn Borg (Sweden) and Cliff Richey (United States), were elimininated in the third round, leaving only the Dutchman, Tom Okker, the Australian, Rod Laver, the Wimbledon champion, Jan Kodes (Czechoslovakia), Arthur Ashe (United States) and Adriano Panatta (Italy).
Borg was beaten 7-6, 7-6, by the Australian left-hander, Tony Roche, and A. Metrevelli (Russia) beat Richey. 7-6, 6-4.
