Technician killed
CA’.Z Presx Association) WELLINGTON. The police today named the N.Z.B.C. technician who died after part of a radio mast collapsed at the transmitting station at Titahi Bay on Tuesday afternoon. He was David Edwards, aged 26. Mr Edwards had been living at the N.Z.B.C.’s single men’s quarters in Titahi Bay; his parents live in Sandringham. Auckland. He and another technician were dismantling an experimental mast, when the section they were harnessed to collapsed and they fell with it about 40ft to the ground.
The second man. Mr B D. Karr, of Tawa, near Wellington, was injured. He was taken to Wellington Hospital, where his condition was reported as fair,
