The Colombian Government. will not allow its national team to play South Africa in the American zone final of the Davis Cup tennis competition, official sources said in Bogota yesterday. Colombia won the North American zone final, beating the United States, and South Africa is to play Chile in the South American zone final. l the winner meeting Colombia.
Chile’s match with South Africa is also in doubt, as the Chileans are still seeking a neutral venue.
Argentina earlier withdrew from its match against South Africa because of a Government ban on sporting ties between the countries. Cricket.—The test veteran, Intikhab. will captain the Pakistanis who will tour England this summer and in two unofficial tests against a touring Sri Lanka side in March. Fifteen players will be named on March 23. for I the three-month tour of England in mid-June.
