MOTOR INDUSTRY A substantial motor retailer and distributor with Head Office in Christchurch and branches and subsidiary companies in the lower part of the North Island has a vacancy for a senior executive to fill the position of Sec-retary-Group Accountant in Christchurch.

Applicants are expected to be able to fulfil the following requirements —

I Be a member of the New Zealand Society of Accountants. 2 Have experience in the motor trade. 3 Have a broad accounting experience to effectively organise and produce periodical financial information for

management. 4 Have sufficient experience and maturity to be able to direct and standardise the accounting policies of all branches in co-operation with the various branch accountants, and to prepare consolidated accounts and taxation returns. The successful applicant will be required to act as Secretary for the main company and several of the subsidiaries and in the absence of the Managing Director from time to time to manage the organisation. He will be expected to work in close cooperation with the Managing Director.
