Softball colts
Two members of the Canterbury Beatty Cup men’s softball team, L. Fife (Western Suburbs) and P. McFarlane (Richmond), have been included in the provincial colts squad to take part in the national tournament at Hamilton next month.
A third colts player, R. Collicot (United), had senior representative experience earlier this season.
The colts squad, to be managed by Mr G. Smith and coached by Mr M. Nalepa, is: J. Blair, I. Bishop, E. Tomlinson (Papanui), G. Timms, L. Fife (captain),. R. Fife (Western Suburbs), McFarlane. C. Phillips (Richmond), D. Maxwell (Burnham), W. Keen (vice-captain), N. Oorshot, Collicot, T. Lawrence, J. Lawson (United). Compulsory training SunIday and Monday nights, St !Albans Park, 5 p.m.
