Brazil’s notorious Esquadio da Morte (Death Squad), believed to be a ’group of retired policemen who take the law into their own hands, has struck again. A man calling himself “The Enforcer” rang the Rio de Janeiro police last night, and directed them to a factory in the suburbs, where! (they found the bullet - rid-; Iden, handcuffed bodies Of; two men. Within and hour, “The Enforcer” called again, and this’ time he told the police! where they could find the! bodies of two more men. The killings bring to 11 the number of victims executed on the last week [alone. The Death Squad left ’six murdered men in a semicircle on a highway last ; week-end, and a seventh was I found nearby.
