Davis, saw a 50ft d cabin cruiser bearing down on his 131 ft runabout ' ; anchored off Long Bay today ' he told his 15-year-old son Ricky that there were “no problems.” “Maybe he just wants to see what we have caught,” Mr Davis added. But as the cruiser drew closer, he could see it was doing “quite a speed.” n When it was only yards p.away “we threw down our u fishing poles, jumped on the * iseats, and yelled and shouted for all we were worth,” Mr . Davis said tonight. ’’ The cruiser rammed Mr ' Davis’s boat, the Lady B. amidships, and Mr Davis and "his son were thrown over the h side. i-' They lost all their fishing s gear, and a transistor radio, e but the Lady B did not capn size. 10 or 12 knots.” Mr Davis said. "All he could tell us was that it was difficult to see over the top of big boats, and he simply did not see us.” The damage to the Lady B is estimated at $4OO.
