Buller loses cricket
Buller was beaten by North Canterbury in the representative cricket match which [ended yesterday at Westport by an innings and 59 runs.
I Buller batted first and : scored only 99 (R. Parker 23,; B. M. McGuire 15). D. Cros-i sely and R. James each took four wickets for North Canterbury, which scored 257 for eight declared. S. Ryan hit a bright 101 and W. Newton a useful 39 for North Canterbury. Parker was the best of the weak Bui-1 ler attack. Buller scored 99 again in its second innings (C. Aldridge 36. McGuire 36). For North Canterbury C. Heslip took five for 20 and Newton |five for 33. I
