Earlier use of plane

Z Press Association) AUCKLAND. The National Airways Corporation’s latest Boeing 737 will not be coming into service on Friday as originally planned — because it is already very’ much in use. The Boeing, the fifth in the N.A.C. fleet, reached New Zealand in October and was due to spend several weeks being prepared for service. But last week the fleet was hard pressed by the need to fly about 3000 Jehovah’s Witnesses to and from their meeting in Christchurch and so the plane was brought into service. This week, because of the beginnings of the summer holiday rush, the extra Boeing stayed in service. The N.A.C. fleet is due to be augmented by a sixth Boeing in February, and a seventh towards the end of next year.
