NEW ROCK MUSICAL
Granada Television has | recorded a TV version of the rock musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.” The TV adaptation of I “Joseph”—described as "a jazzy, tongue-in-cheek version of the story of Joseph and his bretheren”—is based ’on the Young Vic’s London stage production. “Superstar” writers I The lyrics are by Tim Rice ’and the music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, co-writers of The international hit “Jesus Christ —Superstar.” Gary Bond plays Joseph, with Joan Heal as Potiphar’s wife, and Gordan Waller (formerly of Peter and Gordan) as Pharaoh. “Joseph” had its first professional production by the Young Vic at the Edinburgh; Festival.
