Good response to contest
More than 400 entries from children aged two to 16 were received for a colouring competition organised by “The Press” in conjunction with the Great Moscow Circus.
Shown sorting through competition entries yesterday are (from left) Mr M. Edgley, of Edgley Promotions; Miss D. Burgess, a staff member
of “The Press”; and Mr A. Goodliffe, public relations officer for Edgley Promotions. Thirty children who submitted the best entries will each receive two free seats to the circus. Mr Goodliffe said that there had been a rewarding response to the competition, the quality of the entries being extremely high. Most of the entries had come from Christchurch residents.
