SUBDIVISION APPROVED
No objection was raised by the Heathcote County Council last evening to a proposal by Mr G. F. O’Farrell for a subdivision of four 50-acre blocks on the hillside above Governor’s Bay. The council was told that the bulk of the subdivision was in Mount Herbert County, but that pockets of land ran over the border into Heathcote. In granting approval, the council warned Mr O’Farrell that there were restrictions placed on development by the Summit Road Protection Act, and that the council made no commitment in regard to the provision of sendees. i
