Rains cause 12 deaths
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—-Copyright) (BOGOTA (Colombia), Nov. 18. Continuing torrential rains left at least 12 persons dead in Colombia and Venezuela on Saturday, drove thousands from their homes, and caused millions of dollars in losses to crops and livestock. The Colombian National Emergency Council met in Bogota on Saturday to coordinate relief for the victims, but communications in the stricken areas were difficult because of road washouts. The Colombian Weather Bureau predicted no let-up in the rains until next month.
