Rose Bowl qualifiers
Four Linwood teams have reached the quarter-finals of the Christchurch Women’s Bowling Centre’s annual Rose Bowl tournament. They are teams skipped by A. Beazley, J. Black, T. Needham, and S. Rooney. In the final round yesterday, Rooney eliminated the defending champion, H. Warren (Barrington), 21-14. The other four skips for this morning’s quarter-finals on the St Martin’s green are M. Jamieson (Papanui), M. Brady (Fendalton), E. Phillips (Sydenham) and L. Wedderell (Spreydon).
