Ballycastle works well
"The Press” Special Service WANGANUI. Ballycastle, hjs half-sister. Summer Court, and the unraced two-year-old, Good Raven, attracted most attention during trials at Wanganui yesterday. Trials took place on the No. 11 grass, which was firm. The' pegs were out 20m. Ballycastle was moving easily into a strong head wind at the finish of a round, the 800 m taking 52sec and the final 600 m 40sec. Summer Court, which has strengthened during a spell also impressed. Her partner, Cobb’s Call, started at the 1200 m, joined her at the 1000 m, and they ran home in Imin 2 2-ssec, the last 600 m in 39 2-ssec. Good Raven, which will make his debut among the Feilding juveniles, sprinted home five lengths clear of Swamp Fox. They ran 600 m in 41sec after a very slow beginning.
