Graven Spa impressive
"The Press” Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. Graven Spa ran a winning gallop for the Empire Handicap at Feilding when she beat Weber over 1000 m at Awapunl yesterday morning. The sting was out of the course proper, where the pegs were out 50ft. Craven Spa did not have to do her best to finish in front of Weber in Imin 5 2-ssec, the last 600 m in 39 2Persian Way did well to finish ahead of High Promise when they ran 1000 m in Imin 6 3-ssec. Persian Way was doing his work well over the final 600 m in 38 3Purdie showed hie usual speed over 1000 m in Imin 5 2-ssec, taking 38 2-ssec for the final 600 m.
