> Champion qualifies
The defending champion, Mrs E. Warren (Barrington), was among the 33 skips who qualified yesterday for postsection play in the Christchurch Women’s Bowling Centre’s annual Rose Bowl tournament.
Nine qualified with four wins and 24 with the minimum of three wins from the entry of 102 teams. All five of the Linwbod club fours were successful. A notable omission from the list was Mrs J. Steele (Burwood), whose team won the champion of champions fours last season. All post-section games will be on the St Martins green and the final will be reached tomorrow. The qualifiers are: Four wins: A. Whiting (Woolston W.M.C.). A. Beazley (Linwood), A. Anderson (St Martins), M. Beale (Woolston W.M.C.), I. 3luirson (Linwood). H. Rains (Fendalton), A.
